Welcome to the Daniel 21-Day Corporate Fast!

This blog has been set up for people to communicate and share during the 2010 Fellowship of Believers annual corporate fast. This year the fast will be a 21-day Daniel fast.

What is a 21-day Daniel fast?
In Daniel 10:2-3, we find that Daniel only ate fruits and vegetables, and drank water for three weeks.  He did not eat any meat, bread, desserts, or have special drinks.
What is the purpose of this type of fast?
Breakthrough from heaven against the spiritual opposition in our lives!  Daniel was seeking understanding from God regarding the future, but the enemy was blocking that understanding from reaching Daniel.
When does the fast start?
Immediately following the Care Group meetings on Sunday evening, January 10.  We will break the fast on Sunday evening, January 31, with communion.
When will there be corporate prayer meetings?
Sunday January 17        6:00 PM           Reuben Beachy ministering
Sunday January 24        6:00 PM           Don Richter ministering
Sunday January 31        6:00 PM           Communion
Individual prayer with various leaders will be available during the 21-day period.  There will be a sign-up sheet to schedule these times.
Who should fast?
If you need to hear from God regarding your future and are experiencing spiritual resistance, then this fast is a powerful way to receive breakthrough and hear from heaven.
This is what the angel of the Lord said to Daniel at the end of the 21 days:

“Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard and I have come in response to your words.”
                                                                                                                           — Daniel 10:12

May this be the Lord’s promise to each one who does the same.
